- Open

- Over 40

- Over 50

Is there a course cut-off for the 10km?

Yes, there is a 2 hour time limit for the 10km.

Participation is one of the key attributes of the Strait Link Burnie Ten.

Due to the need to return our course to highway traffic within 2 hours, it is imperative we consider any competitors that may be outside our time limit.

The Strait Link Burnie Ten will accommodate all participants competing in all events.

Any participant that is likely to exceed the 2 hour limit, will be provided with alternative options to ensure they can still participate fully & complete as many kilometres (up to 10) that they would like.

Participants will be guided on course & given every encouragement to complete their preferred distance.

What’s the minimum age required to enter the Burnie Ten?

There is no official restriction on an entrant's age. There are risks involved with any physical activity and all children's registrations must be signed by their parent/guardian/caretaker. 10km is a long way for any child to complete.

The Burnie Ten committee strongly advises the parents of all children aged 13 and under to either consider the Kid's Dash and/or the Harcourt's 321 GO Kids Race held in Burnie this November or our 5km event as more appropriate events to enter. Younger participants should be chaperoned.

Can I wear headphones or earphones while I compete?

The Burnie Ten committee advises against wearing ipods and other personal audio devices for your safety and those around you. A safe runner is fully aware of their surroundings. However, it is not mandatory.

I understand all results are ‘provisional’ after the event. When do they become official?

All results are initially provisional to allow us to address timing errors, possible software errors and race protests or objections. After 72 hours {Wednesday at 11am} results become official.
