Race Preparation - Southern Cross 2010 TV Campaign

Welcome again to another year & the start of our Southern Cross Television team training for the 2010 – Skilled Burnie Ten.

This year we welcome on board Nick Duigan and Andrew Hart the co-hosts of the hugely popular television program Hook, Line and Sinker.

Nick and Andrew have been busy making more shows and coming up with new ideas for their 2010 season, but they have taken the time in their hectic lives to fit in a 10 week training regime in preparation for the 2010 Skilled Burnie Ten.

These two fine young men are prepared for the BIG EFFORT required and they know the importance of exercise, health, wellbeing.
They both have a "You Can Do It" approach and know how undertaking a CHALLENGE like this can really “KICK START” your health & fitness.

Mark Connelley and EFM Health Club....will again look after our Team with all the training required. With 11 weeks / 7sessions a week comprising Gym, Running and some bike riding, this is going to be the toughest preparation in the history of the Southern Cross Television training teams.

Brooks are supporting our team members again this year with the provision of Footwear and Clothing for the duration of the training and for race day.

Andrew Hart

29 years old, 178cm & 96kg (at commencement of training)

Motivation: Since leaving school Andrew has never been able to lose weight and wants to use this opportunity to finally loose some of the excess kilos.
He would also like to finally compete in the race that many of his friends compete in.

Nick Duigan

40 years old, 191cm & 100kg (at commencement of training)

Motivation Just turned 40 and feels unfit and slightly overweight. For the last 10 years Nick has spent much of his time in a fishing boat which doesn’t offer much opportunity to go running. He would like to be able to have the fitness level to run 10km and lose some weight.
